Health Guarantee

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Every American Bully Haven Pups puppy is placed with a written two-year genetic health guarantee. This guarantee reflects our confidence in our ethical breeding program — every parent is health-tested for hips, elbows, heart, and genetics before entering our program, and every puppy is examined by our veterinarian before going home. This page explains what is covered, what we ask of you, and how claims are handled. It forms part of your adoption agreement and is incorporated into our Terms of Service and Refund & Return Policy.

1. Our Pledge

Every puppy placed by American Bully Haven Pups LLC is backed by a written two-year genetic health guarantee. We stand behind the health of every dog we breed because we know the lineage, the health testing, and the care that stands behind each one.

Our breeding parents are ABKC and UKC registered and health-tested for hips, elbows, heart, and genetics before entering our program. Every puppy is home-raised, socialized, vet-checked, and current on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of placement.

2. Breeding Standards & Health Testing

Our breeding program follows ethical standards designed to produce healthy, well-tempered American Bully puppies. Before any dog enters our breeding program, we conduct health screenings including:

Hip and elbow evaluations (OFA or PennHIP).

Heart cardiac examinations.

Genetic DNA testing for known hereditary conditions in the American Bully breed.

Temperament assessment to ensure stable, family-oriented companions.

We do not breed any dog that does not pass these health screenings. This commitment is the foundation of our health guarantee.

3. What We Guarantee

We guarantee that, at the time of placement, your puppy is in good health, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and free from life-threatening congenital or genetic defects.

This guarantee covers genetic and congenital conditions that are life-threatening or that significantly impair the dog's quality of life, for a period of two (2) years from the date of birth, provided the terms below are met.

Each puppy leaves our care with a veterinary health certificate, vaccination records, ABKC and UKC registration paperwork, and a full 5-generation pedigree.

4. What Is Covered

This guarantee covers hereditary and congenital conditions that are life-threatening or that significantly impair the dog's quality of life, including but not limited to:

Hip dysplasia requiring surgical intervention or causing significant impairment.

Elbow dysplasia requiring surgical intervention or causing significant impairment.

Congenital heart defects that are life-threatening.

Genetic conditions confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and supported by appropriate diagnostic testing.

5. What Is Not Covered (Exclusions)

This guarantee does not cover conditions that are not genetic or congenital in origin, including parasites, minor ailments, injuries, or illnesses contracted after the puppy leaves our care.

It does not cover conditions resulting from neglect, abuse, improper nutrition, lack of veterinary care, failure to maintain preventative treatments, or environmental factors after placement.

It does not cover hypoglycemia, which is preventable with proper feeding, or any condition disclosed to you in writing prior to placement.

It does not cover normal breed characteristics or variations in size, color, temperament, or breeding capability.

It does not cover costs of routine veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, or supplies.

6. The 72-Hour Veterinary Examination

Within seventy-two (72) hours of receiving your puppy, you must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice. This examination validates the health guarantee.

If this examination reveals a life-threatening health concern not disclosed at the time of placement, you must notify us immediately and before any treatment begins. We will work with you and your veterinarian to address the concern in good faith.

Failure to complete the 72-hour examination voids the initial health guarantee, though the 2-year genetic guarantee remains in force subject to the other terms of this policy.

7. Your Responsibilities

To keep this guarantee in force, you must maintain your puppy on a proper diet, provide regular veterinary care, keep vaccinations and preventative treatments current, and provide a safe, humane living environment.

Proof of this care may be requested in the event of a claim. We recommend keeping all veterinary records, vaccination logs, and receipts for preventative treatments.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding pet ownership in your jurisdiction.

8. Remedy & Resolution

In the unfortunate event that a covered condition is confirmed by a licensed veterinarian, we will offer one of the following remedies at your choice:

A replacement puppy of equal value from a future litter, as soon as one becomes available; or

A refund of the adoption price paid, upon return of the dog with original veterinary documentation.

We will never ask you to return a dog you love. The decision to keep your companion or to return them is yours; the remedy applies to the guarantee, not to the bond you have formed. If you choose to keep your dog, we will still honor the refund or replacement option as described in your written adoption contract.

9. Filing a Claim

To file a claim, provide us with a written statement from your licensed veterinarian describing the condition and its genetic or congenital origin, along with supporting diagnostic test results and your puppy's veterinary records.

Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the diagnosis. We will review the claim promptly and respond with our decision within 14 business days.

All claims and questions regarding this guarantee should be directed to info@americanbullyhavenpups.com or +1-512-354-0751. We are committed to resolving every concern with honesty and compassion.

10. Lifetime Breeder Support

Beyond the 2-year genetic health guarantee, we maintain a lifetime commitment to every puppy we place. We are always available to answer questions about care, training, nutrition, and health throughout your dog's life.

If at any point you are unable to care for your dog, we will accept their return and assist in finding a suitable new home. We never want one of our dogs to enter a shelter.

11. Changes to This Guarantee

We may update this Health Guarantee from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the guarantee was last revised. The guarantee in effect at the time of your adoption governs your transaction.
