Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
American Bully Haven Pups LLC personally coordinates the safe, calm transport of every puppy we place. This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines the options, costs, documentation, and responsibilities involved in bringing your American Bully puppy home. It forms part of your adoption agreement and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Pickup in Austin, Texas
Families are welcome to collect their puppy in person from our home in Austin, Texas, by appointment. We prefer to meet you and complete the adoption in person whenever possible.
Pickup appointments are arranged only after the adoption conversation and deposit are complete, and once the puppy has reached the appropriate age for placement (typically no earlier than 8 weeks of age).
There is no transportation charge for in-person pickup. Adopters are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Austin.
2. Ground Transportation
For families within the continental United States, we can arrange professional, climate-controlled ground transport. A trusted transport partner accompanies your puppy for the entire journey.
Ground transport is typically arranged within 1–2 weeks of full payment and is coordinated directly with you to suit your schedule. Your puppy travels with food, water, and a familiar blanket to keep the journey as calm as possible.
Ground transport is available to the 48 contiguous states. Typical delivery times range from 1 to 5 days depending on distance.
3. Supervised Air Travel
Supervised air travel can be arranged for families located further afield. Your puppy flies in an airline-approved travel crate with a health certificate issued by our veterinarian within 10 days of travel.
We only use pet-safe airlines and routes, and we personally deliver the puppy to departure and coordinate arrival with you. A trusted handler accompanies your puppy whenever the airline allows in-cabin or attended transport.
Air travel is arranged within 1–2 weeks of full payment, subject to airline pet policies, weather conditions, and flight availability.
4. Health Documentation for Travel
Every puppy leaving our care by ground or air travels with a current veterinary health certificate, up-to-date vaccination records, ABKC and UKC registration paperwork, and a 5-generation pedigree.
A health certificate is issued by our licensed veterinarian within 10 days of travel, as required by airlines and most state regulations.
Any additional documentation required by your state or country of residence (such as import permits or proof of rabies vaccination) is your responsibility to confirm; we will assist wherever we can.
5. Transportation Costs
Transportation costs are separate from the adoption price and are the responsibility of the adopter. Exact costs depend on distance, method, and current rates, and are quoted transparently before any journey is booked.
Ground transport typically ranges from $300 to $900 depending on distance. Air travel typically ranges from $400 to $700 depending on destination and airline. Final quotes are provided before booking.
Transportation costs are non-refundable once a journey has been coordinated and commenced, except as provided under our Refund & Return Policy for approved health-related returns.
6. International Adoption
We are able to consider international placements on a case-by-case basis, subject to the import regulations of the destination country. Additional documentation, quarantine requirements, and extended timelines may apply.
International adopters are responsible for confirming and obtaining all required import permits, health certificates, and customs documentation for their country. We will provide the necessary U.S. documentation and assist wherever possible.
International transportation costs are quoted individually and are the responsibility of the adopter.
7. Travel Insurance
We recommend that adopters consider pet travel insurance for ground or air transport. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or incidents caused by the transport carrier, airline, or weather conditions beyond our control.
Our 2-year genetic health guarantee covers the health of the puppy as described in our Health Guarantee and Refund & Return Policy, regardless of the transportation method used.
8. Adopter Responsibilities
Adopters are responsible for being available to receive their puppy at the agreed-upon time and location. If you are unable to receive your puppy on the scheduled delivery date, additional boarding or rescheduling fees may apply.
Adopters must provide accurate contact information and be reachable by phone on the day of delivery.
For air travel, adopters must be present at the agreed arrival airport to collect the puppy and present identification as required by the airline.
9. Delivery Delays
While we make every effort to deliver your puppy on the scheduled date, unforeseen circumstances such as weather, airline delays, or transport carrier scheduling may cause delays. We will communicate with you promptly and work to reschedule as quickly as possible.
If a delay is caused by us or our transport partners, any additional boarding costs are our responsibility. If a delay is caused by the adopter's unavailability, any additional costs are the adopter's responsibility.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. The policy in effect at the time of your adoption governs your transaction.
