Refund & Return Policy

Every puppy placed through our program leaves our care with a written health guarantee covering genetic conditions for the first two (2) years of life, provided the puppy has received appropriate care, nutrition, and regular veterinary attention as outlined in the written adoption contract.

Each puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian before placement and is current on age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming at the time of adoption. A veterinary health certificate and full 5-generation pedigree are provided.

Our breeding parents are ABKC and UKC registered and health-tested for hips, heart, and elbows before joining our program.

We require that you have your new puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours of arrival. This examination validates the health guarantee.

If, within this 72-hour period, a veterinarian identifies a life-threatening congenital or hereditary condition that was present at the time of placement, we will refund the full adoption price upon return of the puppy together with the original veterinary documentation.

Non-life-threatening conditions discovered during this period do not constitute grounds for a full refund, but we will work with you and your veterinarian to address any concern in good faith.

If, within the first two (2) years of life, your puppy is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a genetic condition that significantly impacts its quality of life, and that condition is confirmed to be hereditary in nature, we will offer one of the following remedies at your choice:

A replacement puppy of equal value from the next available litter, once one becomes available; or

A refund of the adoption price paid, upon return of the dog with original veterinary documentation.

This guarantee is contingent on the puppy having received appropriate and documented care, nutrition, shelter, and regular veterinary attention throughout its life. It does not cover conditions caused by neglect, abuse, accident, improper handling, or environmental factors after placement.

Deposits placed to reserve a specific puppy are non-refundable, as holding a puppy removes it from availability for other families.

Exception: if we are unable to provide the puppy you reserved (for example, due to an unforeseen health issue), your deposit will be refunded in full or applied to a future litter at your preference.

Deposits are applied toward the total adoption price at the time of final payment.

The remaining balance of the adoption price is due before the puppy leaves our care. Payments are processed securely through Base44 Payments (powered by Wix).

Adoption fees are non-refundable beyond the initial 72-hour health examination period, except as provided under the 2-year genetic health guarantee above.

If a refund is approved under this policy, it will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days of receiving the returned puppy and supporting documentation.

We maintain a lifetime commitment to every puppy we place. If at any time during the dog's life you are unable to continue care, we will accept the return of the dog and assist in finding a suitable new home. We never want one of our dogs to enter a shelter.

Returning a dog to us is always an option, regardless of age or circumstances. Please contact us first so we can coordinate the return and ensure the dog's well-being.

Adoption fees are non-refundable for lifetime returns, as these are voluntary returns rather than health-related claims.

Transportation costs (ground transport or supervised air travel) are the responsibility of the adopter and are non-refundable once a journey has been coordinated and commenced.

If a return is approved under the health guarantee, reasonable return transportation costs within the continental United States will be reimbursed upon receipt of original receipts.

Please provide your name, the puppy's name, the date of adoption, and a written statement from your veterinarian describing the diagnosis and supporting documentation.

We will respond within 48 hours to begin working through the process with you in good faith.

This policy does not cover: (a) conditions that are not life-threatening or genetic in nature; (b) conditions resulting from neglect, abuse, accident, or improper care after placement; (c) normal breed characteristics or variations in size, color, or temperament; (d) conditions disclosed in writing prior to adoption; or (e) costs of routine veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, or supplies.

We may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. The policy in effect at the time of your adoption governs your transaction.
