The most important 48 hours
The moment your American Bully puppy walks through your door, a new chapter begins for both of you. These first 48 hours are about one thing above all: helping your puppy feel safe.
Before you arrive
Have a small, quiet area ready — one room, not the whole house. A crate with the door open, a soft bed, water, and the scented blanket we send from home. Keep the space predictable.
The first evening
Your puppy has just left everything familiar. Expect some whining. Resist the urge to over-comfort; instead, sit nearby and let them settle at their own pace. Offer a small meal and a quiet potty break.
Sleep
Place the crate beside your bed for the first few nights. Hearing you breathe is deeply reassuring. A covered crate, a ticking clock, and the litter-scented blanket work wonders.
What to avoid
- Big welcome parties in the first days
- Free roam of the entire house
- Loud visitors and other pets all at once
Keep it small, slow, and gentle. Confidence is built one calm moment at a time.
